Grace was born and raised in St. Louis, MO. She loved it so much in her hometown that she attended Saint Louis University where she received her B.S. in Chemistry. While in undergrad, she did undergraduate research with Dr. Jamie Neely on one pot pyrrole synthesis via iron catalyzed carboamination and CuCl mediated cyclization. Grace decided to continue her studies in organometallic chemistry in the Bailey Group where she works to synthesize novel iron carbenes as catalysts for Olefin Metathesis. In her free time, Grace enjoys going for morning runs, listening to music, playing pickleball, and baking (without a recipe of course).
