Eryck grew up in Chile, where form a very young age his curiosity lead him to science. He decided to study Chemistry because it fits better with his interests and because it's really fun (when it works). He got his B.S. and M.S. at the University of Chile which is the number 1 institution in that country. His previous advisor was Pedro Aguirre who is a very distinguished chemist in the Catalysis and Renewable Energies area. Then he decided to expand his horizons, so he applied to the U of M and now he's there trying to be the best scientist and chemist that he can be.
On a more personal side, He likes to workout a lot as a way of maintaining good physical and mental health. He enjoys the outdoors very much, from going to the lake to swim or just going on a bike ride. But he also takes pleasure in indoors activities like going for a cup of coffee or playing board games, also playing videogames and tinkering with computers.
