87th Annual 4-H Achievement & Awards Banquet
4-H, the Cream of the Crop
Save the date for our Annual achievement and awards banquet October 30! Invitations will be mailed in September to our 4-H youth members in good stand as well as as our active 4-H Adult volunteers. 2022 Banquet is hosted by 4-H clubs Nifty Thrifty and Speedway Builders.

Meal and seating reservations
You may reserve your meal and/or seating online. If you owe for meals you can mail payment to our office or pay at the banquet. If you do not notify the office of meal cancellations by October 24 you will be billed for the amount of meals reserved.

Club/Project Leaders who have been asked by their 4-H youth to complete a letter of recognition for an award they applied for can use this form to submit the letter of recommendation. You may also email your recommendation to mnext-watonwan@umn.edu
4-H youth or 4-H adult volunteers
Do you know someone who went above and beyond what was expected or o is always available when called upon? You can also nominate someone for an ‘incident’ that is too funny not to share or perhaps you feel they need recognition.
Grades K-13
Are you part 3 or 4 generations of 4-H in your family? We love to celebrate the 4-H generations before us! If possible, invite as many of the generations to attend the banquet to be recognized.
Grades 3-13
This award recognizes 4-H'ers who have done outstanding work in any project listed. They've learned and excelled in the project area. Youth can choose 2 project areas. A club or project leader must also write a letter of recommendation for you.
Grades K-13, finished 1st-4th year of 4-H with requirements
Once in a lifetime award for youth who've completed their 1st -4th year in 4-H, attended 5 club meetings, exhibited at least 2 projects at our recent County fair, completed a participation record and participated in 3 activities listed on the application. A club or project leader must also write a letter of recommendation for you.
Club leaders or 4-H adult volunteers
Club leaders or 4-H adult volunteers can nominate any 4-H youth in grades 12-13 for this award.
This award takes its name from the book “I DARE YOU!” written by William H. Danforth, founder of the Ralston Purina Company in St. Louis. Danforth dared young people to achieve their highest potential and to influence others throughout their lives of service. He stresses the balance of life, mental, physical, social and spiritual development as the backbone of leadership.
Grades 3-7
Awarded to youth who were active in the 4-H Tween club. A club or project leader must also write a letter of recommendation for you.
Grades 7-13
This award is for youth who are active members of 4-H, play key roles in their club and/or County leadership role. A club or project leader must also write a letter of recommendation for you. A club or project leader must also write a letter of recommendation for you.
Grades 10+, 5 years in 4-H and three years as a youth leader
The highest 4-H youth award for Minnesota! Youth must meet all the requirements to be eligible and give detailed information about their involvement with 4-H. The application must be approved by your club or project leader and also Michaela.
Club organizational leaders
Recognize club officers who have demonstrated themselves as outstanding club officers and have fulfilled their duties while in their club office.
Yvonne Williams Leadership nomination
4-H youth members, parents or 4-H adult volunteers can nominate a youth or adultThis award was established in 1988 in memory of Yvonne Williams, a Watonwan County Peppy Peppers 4-H Club Leader and 4-H Volunteer. Yvonne Williams was an outstanding club leader, volunteer, and role model to other 4-H’ers.
