Mentor Platform
StartupTree is our online platform to view mentors in our ecosystem. Access will be provided to the team leads only. You will be added to the platform after confirming your participation in the competition this season. Once you've accepted the platform invite, you can access the Mentor Request form. Please choose up to 5 mentor requests. Each request asks for a justification for that choice. This helps us find you another match if that mentor is unavailable or already selected.
*Please do not reach out to mentors on the platform, nor select more than 5 choices. We will connect you via email.

The Role of Mentors
Mentors are volunteers who play a valuable role in critiquing, advising, and connecting with their assigned teams. They are either experienced entrepreneurs or provide valuable functional/industry experience. Mentors are not experts on the rules/deadlines - please refer to the requirements or email the MN Cup team with program questions.
What Mentees Should Do
Please reach out to your mentors quickly to share an executive summary or initial product vision statement to get high-level feedback and schedule a time to connect.
Share a draft of MN Cup deliverables no later than 2 weeks before the deadline.
Earn the trust of your mentors before asking for introductions or connections
Suggested Approach from MN Cup
Prepare questions/requests in advance
Make reasonable requests
Understand that mentors are busy
Don’t take feedback as gospel
Don’t choose a mentor with the expectation of getting funding or as a customer
Do NOT wait until the deadline
Show appreciation
