The Radisson and the Holiday Inn are connected to the DECC via the Skywalk, which is ADA compliant. Additionally, there is a parking lot at the DECC, which includes accessible parking options for $10 a day for those who would prefer to drive between the hotel and the DECC.
Three and a half miles of skywalk allow conference attendees to travel around downtown Duluth in climate-controlled comfort. Attendees can use the skyway to walk from the Radisson (~ 1 mile one-way) or the Holiday Inn (~ 3⁄4 mile one-way) to the DECC (Duluth Entertainment Convention Center).

To support the full participation of all Extension employees in the conference, Dean Durgan has approved lodging reimbursement for all Extension employees, including those who live in and around Duluth. If you are an employee who could easily commute to the conference but chose to stay overnight, justify the lodging expense on your reimbursement request by documenting the business purpose of your local stay (e.g. Participated in evening and early morning conference activities including the Dean's Distinguished Faculty and Staff awards banquet and networking meetings with colleagues about Extension partnerships and programming) and indicating that the stay was approved by Dean Durgan.
There are a limited number of hotel rooms available for Monday for those who have exceptionally long drives. If you have questions regarding this, please contact Katie Goodin at kgoodin@umn.edu.
Regarding child care, as Dean Durgan has mentioned, family members are welcome to come to Duluth. Similar to remote work situations, employees will need to provide alternative care arrangements for young children or other dependent family members during conference session attendance to allow for uninterrupted work time and focus.
