Lawryn Fellwock is the Program Engagement Implementation Lead for the Center for Socially Engaged Design (C-SED), assisting and supporting all aspects of student engagement and retention.
She serves as one of the welcoming faces for the center for students who visit C-SED both virtually and in person and responds to student inquiries and requests for space, involvement, and student programming. Lawryn also manages C-SED’s online presence to not only be accessible to students and C-SED affiliates but to recruit and retain the next generation of complex problem solvers. As a newer member of the C-SED staff, she was drawn to the center’s dedication to equity, sustainable problem-solving, and the student experience.
Prior to her role at the University of Michigan, Lawryn served as the Assistant Director of First-Year Students at Coe College, a small, private liberal arts college in Iowa where she learned first-hand about the student experience across various backgrounds and identities. Lawryn holds a Master of Arts (MA) in College Student Personnel from Bowling Green State University and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Journalism and Mass Communication from the University of Iowa. She holds a Certificate in both Leadership Studies and Cultural Competency from her time at Iowa.

Steve is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Institute’s co-curricular student and alumni programs, mentoring student and alumni entrepreneurial teams, managing the student and alumni programs team, and working on program strategy and design.
Prior to joining ZLI, Steve was the Chief Operating Officer of LastBasic, a global marketplace for product development startups based in Madrid, Spain. He brings 15 years of experience bringing new products to market for early-stage startups and established consumer brands in the Bay Area, and global exposure to the hardware/software industry. Steve’s areas of expertise include new product development, digital marketplaces, team development, early career mentorship, and optimism.
Steve earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Michigan Technological University and in Physics at Kalamazoo College. He holds an MBA from I.E. Business School in Madrid, with a focus on Entrepreneurship and Digital Transformation.

Katrina Marion calls on the expertise she gained in previous sales and marketing positions to build recognition and attract new business for her clients through her boutique marketing firm Kanopi Social and in partnership with Google as the Detroit Digital Coach.
Katrina was identified by Google, as one of nine community leaders passionate about creating economic opportunities for businesses currently underrepresented on the web and in Google's customer base. Katrina provides business owners, guidance on improving their web presence, reaching new customers online and growing their business through online advertising platforms. Specializing in strategy and analytics, Katrina identifies ways to capitalize on opportunities that promote the company’s products and services through the strategic use of digital and traditional media channels.
An acknowledged expert on the use of social media, Katrina’s career matured as the use of the Internet for business-to-business purposes exploded. Over the years, she has built a solid reputation for providing innovative solutions using digital methodologies, especially in high-pressure situations. In addition, she has cultivated an extensive network of professional contacts that provide valuable connections and resources when needed. Katrina is a capable communicator, as well, gifted with the ability to explain complex concepts in a manner that fosters understanding among non-technical audiences.
A graduate of Florida A&M University, Katrina gives back to the community in which she lives and works. She was recognized as one of the Top 25 Most Influential Women in Detroit in 2013, and Michigan Chronicles 40 under 40 in 2017. Katrina is married with two daughters. She currently sits on the board of East Warren Development Corporation, Nardin Park Recovery Center, and is a member of the Jack and Jill of America Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and several other organizations focused on helping women and entrepreneurs. She enjoys reading, spending time with family, traveling, and, of course, learning new things about digital marketing.
