My research focuses on challenges in the healthcare supply chain, particularly its societal implications and behavioral decision-making with algorithms.

My research is inspired by the inherent tradeoffs within healthcare: Quality, Access, and Cost, which describes the challenge of providing affordable healthcare (Cost) that's easily available to all (Access) without sacrificing its effectiveness and safety (Quality). At present, my current research focuses on two key tradeoffs:

• (i) Cost-Quality: Evaluating the quality of care between brand-name drugs and their generic counterparts, as well as the variations among generic versions and corresponding mechanisms;

• (ii) Access-Cost: Understanding the access to care under diverse insurance payment models, retail drug pricing schemes, and in the face of drug shortages.

Methodologically, I have developed a flexible toolkit in empirical and behavioral operations, as well as applied machine learning methods. My work is conducted in close collaboration with frontline healthcare professionals and industry pioneers and provides actionable insights that guide decision-making.
