Origin Piece

My origin piece is an essay that I had written during the summer of 2024.  The topic is the musical Falsettos by William Finn and James Lapine about Marvin, a gay man, who left his wife, and child for his gay lover. It's a musical that I am obsessed with compelling storytelling, however I don’t often see people talking about Marvin's wife, Trina, and her story compared to other characters. I wrote this essay to focus on the what womanhood and it's meaning to society through Trina.
