"What's wrong?"
People will often ask others
And they'll get the response "Nothing" or "I'm good"
When in reality the person is drowning.
Because people don't want to hear the real answer "I'm doing shitty" or "My life is a complete train wreck."
I think I heard something similar to this on BoJack Horseman.
A show, despite its amazing reviews, I will never watch because I value my sense of self.
But, it's a quote I think of often.
Am I asking people how they're doing because I care, or because it's common curtsey?
I like to believe it's the former, but how often is that true?
