International Official Final Transcripts
This section pertains to applicants who attended international schools, including French-Canadian schools. These instructions do not apply to applicants who attended an international school as part of a study abroad program.
General Guidelines
The assessment of a degree from an international institution is based upon the characteristics of a national system of education, the type of institution, accreditation/recognition, level of study, and number of years of post-secondary study.
UMSI also accepts evaluations from any of the approved international transcript evaluation services listed below:
WES Evaluation Services- https://www.wes.org/
Scholaro Evaluation - https://www.scholaro.com/
Educational Perspectives - https://www.edperspective.org/
ECE Evaluation - https://www.ece.org/ECE/Credential-Evaluations
Important: If the transcript is from a non-U.S institution, please follow the instructions outlined below to check if you need to submit your diplomas/graduate certificates as well. If the transcript is not in English, please submit a version of the transcript in its original language as well as a version with its official English translation.
English translations must be literal, word-for-word translations in the same format as the original academic record. If your academic institution does not supply an official translation, we will accept an official translation prepared by a professional licensed translation service or from an Education USA office in your region. Do not send foreign transcripts to UMSI that have been not translated into English; they will be discarded.
