Sustainability through enzyme chemistry
Our Mission
The U-M Biocatalysis Impact Institute brings together faculty expertise from five campus units to advance the use of biocatalysis by both academic and industry partners. The Institute is committed to developing tools, pipelines, algorithms, and training resources that increase the accessibility of biocatalysis. By building long-term industry relationships and forging cross-disciplinary campus connections, the U-M Biocatalysis Impact Institute aims to create a legacy of greater sustainability, improved efficiency, and even novel molecules.
