Dinners for Democracy

Dinners for Democracy is a program series presented by Turn Up Turnout that focuses on nonpartisan voter education. The goal of Dinners for Democracy is to promote educational discussions around key issues that students care about, and to make the connection between those issues and down-ballot offices clearer.

Dinner topics include the Judicial System, Politics of Renewable Energy, the Death Penalty, Redistricting, Voting Access, Voting Rights, and Student Loan Forgiveness.

Dinners are held virtually, hybrid, and in-person on the Ann Arbor, Dearborn, and Flint campuses. Participants receive a free gift card from one of an array of partnering restaurants and grocery stores, or free food at the event!
