1st year undergraduate course on plant water adaptations at Rhodes University, exploring how plant acquire, move, and utilize water. This course covered the physiological and anatomical mechanisms that plants have evolved to flourish on land and, particularly, in arid environments.
Michigan Math and Science Scholars Summer Program. Earth is full of weird and wonderful creatures and plants. The really interesting thing is why they are how they are! This course investigated the foundations of life and survival in fauna and flora living in extreme and/or hazardous environments.
I served as Senior Demonstrator (i.e. coordinator of all tutors) for the Rhodes University Cell Biology 1st year undergraduate course for 2 years. This course introduced cellular biology to >300 students per year, ranging from those going into zoology and botany to those interested in pharmacy and chemistry.
I served as a tutor for the Rhodes University Botany 1st, 2nd, and 3rd years undergraduate courses for 4 years. These courses explored a large range of botanical fields, involving many laboratory sessions and field trips.
