Students and young professionals use multiple devices in multiple environments to accomplish various tasks. They struggle with effectively transitioning between multiple work environments and devices, limiting efficiency and hampering productivity. TaskS is a compact, convenient portable workstation for people on the go
The problem emerged from the team's own experiences and observations of students; they took considerable time to take out their work-related essential tools like laptop, notebook, and stationery. Transitioning between these tools was not seamless either. The problem was how to make the transition between different tools used for multitasking more efficient and how to reduce the set-up time for all the work-related tools and accessories. With these two primary issues, the idea of a portable workstation emerged. The product’s objective of offering a seamless transition and a significantly lower set up time was achieved. TaskS offers a setup time of fewer than 30 seconds against conventional 1.5 minutes while the organized pockets offers seamless transition improving the efficiency of the user. The inbuilt cord management system enables a hassle-free electronics charging system for the user
The embodiment design of TaskS was done in Autodesk Inventor. The concept design was chosen using the Pugh matrix and a detailed design was created based on functionality optimization and ergonomics analysis
