Lead the creation, implementation and execution of tools, policies and strategies to enhance HR processes; identifies and eliminates gaps in data collection and retention
Collaborate on project teams within the College of Engineering (CoE) and the University of Michigan (U-M) to develop and refine HR policies
Work on initiatives related to enhancing enterprise systems for HR processes
Provide guidance and expert advice to senior leadership on various HR matters, ensuring alignment with the institution’s goals and regulatory requirements
Act as the HR representative for the College in discussions and negotiations with senior university officials
Participate in official capacities during disciplinary hearings, grievance proceedings, and other HR-related issues
Responsible for the official HR data sets
Develop policy changes as needed in collaboration with leadership
Implement and interpret HR and Provost policies and procedures
Implement and interpret HR policies and procedures
Oversee HR activity for Engin Admin Units and ERC's
Participate in University and CoE special projects
Provide data and co-lead CoE annual merit processes
Contribute to annual HR Internal Controls process
Provide ad-hoc data to leadership and dept/units as needed
Manage all mandatory HR compliance (FLSA, sexual harassment, etc.)
Participate in the hiring and onboarding of UA's
Contribute to annual budget process
Manage HR activity for Engin Admin units
Conduct exit interviews

Review equity, reclass, and retention requests for faculty and staff in academic units
Oversee and participate in preparation of academic administrative appointment letters initiated by ADGPE, ADR, ADUE, ADAA, and the Dean
Participate in lab/unit assessments as needed
Review and edit all tenure-track faculty appointment letters, grids, and addendums
Draft and finalize all faculty retirement agreements
Complete ADVANCE annual data request and Provost annual data requests
Complete ad hoc data requests from CoE, Provost, Academic HR, and Regents
Serve as CoE liason to Academic HR for LEO, GEO, Faculty HR activity
Review MOU’s for faculty leaves of absences, joint appointments, etc.
Report to the Regent's on Faculty Recruitment and Retention
ADAA Budget Indicators and budget preparation
Conduct exit interviews
Serve as committee chair for SEAP faculty award committee
