Student Information

Prospective Students

All Students: I strongly recommend the book Graduate Admissions Essays by Donald Asher.

PhD Students: I suggest the book Getting What you Came For by Robert Peters for excellent advice for navigating a PhD from admissions to graduation.

I primarily work with PhD students enrolled in the PhD in Urban and Regional Planning program. Unlike some PhD programs, ours does not require that you gain the support of a faculty member prior to your admittance, although I am happy to hear from prospective students interested in working with me. I also occasionally work with PhD students in other programs as a committee member.

Visiting Scholars

I do not host self-funded visiting scholars with whom I do not have a prior research relationship.
