Justine P. Wu, MD, MPH
Principal Investigator
Justine P. Wu, MD, MPH is an Associate Professor of Family Medicine with a joint appointment in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan. She has expertise in behavioral clinical trials, contraceptive epidemiology, mixed methods, and implementation science. Dr. Wu is the Co-Director of the University of Michigan Mixed Methods Program and the Co-Director of the Antiracism and Health Equity Program.

Dr. Buis serves as the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Medical Internet Research mHealth and uHealth, one of the leading journals in health informatics with a focus on mobile health.

Vanessa K. Dalton, MD, MPH is a Professor in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Michigan. She is a board certified obstetrician gynecologist with expertise in complex family planning. Dr. Dalton serves as the Associate Chair for Research in the University of Michigan Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and the Director of the Program on Women's Healthcare Effectiveness Research.

Natabhona Mabachi, PhD, MPH is the Director of Evaluation and Research Investigator at DARTNet Institute. She employs Health Equity and Social Justice frameworks in her community-based research across the United States and East Africa. Her research focuses on Prevention of Mother to Child HIV transmission (PMTCT), cervical and breast cancer screening and treatment, community-level sexual assault prevention, and racism/bias in healthcare.

Damschroder, MS, MPH is a former research investigator with VA Ann Arbor’s Center for Clinical Management Research (CCMR), specializing in advancing the science of implementation using mixed methods. She is the first author of the Consolidated Framework for Implementation Research (CFIR), which has been cited in nearly 400 published articles.

As a family physician with research expertise in contraceptive decision-making, Dr. Dehlendorf and her team developed and validated the Interpersonal Quality of Family Planning scale.

Meera Nagarsheth, MD, MA is a fellow in advocacy and reproductive health care at the University of Michigan. She completed her medical school at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine and her residency in family medicine at Brown University (Pawtucket Track). Her research and career interests include reproductive justice, abolition in medicine, harm reduction, management of substance use disorder, and sexual and reproductive health care.

She has a background in anthropology and social work and has previously worked as a community-based case manager and patient advocate. Her research interests reflect the wide range of studies she has worked on and include contraceptive decision-making, mental health interventions, addressing health disparities, and reducing barriers to accessing quality healthcare and other important resources.
