Welcome to Michigan Backpacking Club!

MBC is the premier backpacking and hiking organization at the University of Michigan. We're committed to connecting students of all levels to the outdoors by organizing trips to various locations across the United States.

We coordinate groups, offer gear rental, provide transportation and hold instructional workshops as you plan your adventure. On campus social events and smaller trips TBA.

No dues required, all experience levels welcome!

Joining solo?

Don't sweat it! We put together diverse groups of 5-6 students based on desired difficulty and location.
