My curiosity for the brain stems from a deep desire to understand neuropsychiatric disorders and mental illness. Almost that of an artform, crafting experiments to advance the field of neuroscience continues to excite me. With the goal of continuing to study the genetic architecture underlying neuropsychiatric disease states, I am pursuing my PhD in neuroscience at Harvard University. [READ MORE]

A versatile viral toolkit for functional discovery in the nervous system
Cell Reports Methods | June 20, 2022
Pouchelon*, Vergara*, McMahon*, Gorissen* et al. develop an optimized and modular viral toolkit (VTK) that addresses key AAV limitations and allows for efficient combinatorial targeting of neuronal cell types. This approach allows efficient querying of neuronal biology using a wide array of genetically encoded tools. [pdf link]
