Current Studies
ABC Growing Kids
The ABC Growing Kids study is funded by the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development. Between 2015 and 2020, more than 200 families participated in ABC Baby, which studied the development of infant eating behavior and interactions between mothers and infants in the first 12 months. The ABC Growing Kids study is inviting these families to participate again when children are 5 years and older. This will be the first study to examine in detail how eating behavior in infancy predicts how children eat as they grow older.
Mother-Baby
The Mother Baby study is funded by the NIH. This study is focused on understanding how emotion, mother-infant attachment, maternal feeding, and infant eating behavior develop together in the first six months.
ABC Baby Reward
The ABC Baby Reward study is funded by the American Heart Association. This study focuses how infants are motivated by food and how liking for sweet food develops.
