A hands-on workshop led by Kevin DeHority, MBA. Kevin is a certified Lean Coach and Six-Sigma Black Belt. He is currently Manager of the Continuous Improvement Division housed within Michigan Medicine's Department of Quality. This workshop teaches valuable process improvement principles which will help with solution-finding.
A3 is a lean method of solving problems and improving processes. The session was led by Dr. John Billi, Professor in the College of Engineering, Medical School, and School of Public Health as well as Associate VP of Medical Affairs. Dr. Billi's management and research interests are in health services delivery, especially the use of lean thinking to improve quality and efficiency, population health, clinical practice transformation tied to value-based reimbursement and the creation and use of evidence-based guidelines.

Lisa Rajt is a Health Care Manager in the Value Partnerships department at Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan (BCBSM). For the past 10+ years, she has worked on the development and administration of BCBSM’s award-winning Patient-Centered Medical Home program, as well as the expansion of care management to primary care and specialty settings.
