IEDP 2020: Colombia
Where did We Go?
Colombia was selected as the destination for IEDP 2020 because there is a great deal to learn from its policy successes and challenges. We spent January and most of February in the classroom learning about Colombian history, politics, and policy. We focused on a handful of major policy issues, including reducing childhood malnutrition, universal access to affordable clean energy services, reducing income inequality, and improving access to safe and affordable housing. In March, we went to Medellín and Bogotá, Colombia and met with policymakers, industry officials, civil society representatives, and other experts!
