Please thoroughly read the rules before participating. Health Policy Case Competition has a zero-tolerance policy for cheating, if you suspect a team has broken the rules please contact the organization.
One team member will be designated as the point of contact and will fill out the registration form for the team. The case will be emailed to this individual and he/she/they will be the one to return the case on the due date.
Teams may be 3-4 individuals and each participant must be a student at the University of Michigan. Teams may consist of undergraduate, graduate, and professional students. Seeking advice from faculty and individuals outside of your team is not permitted.
Members of the HPCC Planning committee can compete in the competition. However, individuals who worked directly on the case or judging criteria are barred from competition. They also are not allowed to give teams an advantage by disclosing case details or judging criteria.
2 Required Deliverables: a pitch deck and a policy memo.
Pitch Deck:
Maximum of 25 slides with an unlimited appendix.
Must include a summary slide that outlines the presentation.
The title slide should not include team member names, only the team name.
Policy Memo
10 point font minimum.
Margins should be 1 inch on all sides of the paper.
One side of an 8.5 x 11 inch office sheet can be used. References (we recommend footnotes) on the back of that sheet only.
Graphics and color are encouraged.
Seeking advice from faculty and individuals outside of your team is not permitted. Teams may use any publicly available data.
All academic resources that can be accessed through a library are open to use.
