If you enjoy witnessing nature, thrilling adventure, extreme conditions, and incredible artistic talent from the comfort of a cozy chair in the Michigan Theater, this is the event for you!

Passionate about equity through education? Got any coding experience? Check out Seven Mile Coding and codeConnects! Both are incredible organizations that empower youth through Computer Science education and you can be a part of them! Seven Mile Coding (7MC) is a new initiative teaching youth in Detroit how to code. Teachers for 7MC pair up with a student from Detroit for weekly lessons exploring coding and computer science in fun ways. If interested, please use the application and question portals already available on their website. codeConnects is the online platform of The Coding School, a non-profit organization that teaches coding to underrepresented middle and high school students. Join Honor's as we continue our event series, Adventures with the Director, for a trail run through Ann Arbor! All running levels are welcome! We will leave South Quad at 9am on the 8th, complete our run, and grab some ice cream at Blank Slate Creamery on the way home. We hope to see you there!

FoolMoon is the nighttime kick-off event to Ann Arbor's foolish weekend! In the heart of downtown Ann Arbor, everyone and anyone is invited to gather in the streets to shake off those cold gray winters. The skyline will be filled with luminaries, interactive installations, laser shows, a beer tent sponsored by Grizzly Peak, DJ’s raised into the air, live dance performances, and oh so many more de-LIGHT-fool surprises!

Join Honors on March 30th at Vagina Monologues! The award-winning play is based on playwright Eve Ensler's interviews with more than 200 women. With humor and grace, the piece celebrates women’s sexuality and strength. For more than twelve years, The Vagina Monologues has given voice to experiences and feelings not previously exposed in public. Meet at the SQ CC at 7:30pm to walk over to Rackham Auditorium. This event is FREE.


Join us in scuba diving with Huron Scuba on Thursday, March 29th. We'll meet at the CC at 6:15PM and be back around 10PM. The buy-in is $10 and payable at the Honors office. Also, due to the fact that this is scuba diving and with that comes some important safety measures, know that if you want to participate you'll have to fill out a few forms like the one attached below and turn it in to Mika at the Honors Office.

The Nederlands Dans Theater is coming to Ann Arbor! Enjoy a FREE dance lesson (hip hop dance with hints of style of martial arts and ballet) with Company Wang Ramirez. NO DANCE EXPERIENCE IS REQUIRED! Meet at the South Quad Community Center on Saturday, March 24th (3/24) at 12:30pm and we will walk over together. SIGN UP NOW!

We will scale the walls of Planet Rock on Sunday, Feb 18th from 9:45am-1pm. Meet at the South Quad CC, the buy-in is $10 (please pay and pick up your receipt from the Honors office). Join Honors for the annual TEDx at U of M on February 9 @ 5:30PM! TEDxUofM is a conference with TED-like talks, showcasing amazing thinkers and doers from the University of Michigan Community! This year's theme is "Black Box: Into the Unknown". Tickets are $5, payable at the Honors Office.

Join Honors at The Ark for their monthly Take A Chance Tuesday show! This month, Twisted Pines will be performing, a bluegrass group from the Northeast. This event is FREE, but The Ark will be accepting non-perishable food items to benefits Food Gatherers. Please meet at the CC at 7:30pm on January 23, as doors open at 8:00pm.

Enjoy a towny event, bundle up and sip hot cocoa while getting some last minute holiday shopping done. We will be meeting at the South Quad CC at 8pm on December 1st to walk to the main street/ kerrytown area. There is no buy-in but make sure to bring money if you'd like to purchase anything at one of the downtown stores.

Come join honors to watch some of the best student dance groups on campus! It'll be a great night at the Mendelssohn theatre, with performances by: EnCore, RythM Tap Ensemble, Dance 2XS, Impact Dance, Michigan Izzat, FunKtion, and Cadence Dance Company. 11/30 meet at the South Quad CC at 6:20pm!

Join us as we attend MUSKET's performance of Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson! A comedic historical rock musical about the founding of the Democratic Party, it is an exhilarating and raucous look at one of our nation's founding rock stars, reinventing the life of our seventh president. Join us on Thursday, November 16th at 7pm in the YK Lounge for a presentation and discussion on the role of Freedom of Speech on College Campuses, led by representatives of Student Legal Services and Law Professor Faith Sparr! The event is free, and snacks and refreshments will be provided! Discussion topics will include legal limitations and protections of free speech, how to peacefully and legally protest, free speech online, and other topics. We look forward to seeing you there!

Join us at the Fisher Theatre to see The Color Purple, a stunning re-imagining of an epic story about a young woman’s journey to love and triumph in the American South. We will be meeting at the South Quad CC at 6:15pm on November 10th. The play will run from 8:00pm to 10:30pm. Ticket cost is $10.

Come with Honors to witness Bassem Youssef, the "John Stewart of Egypt," an Egyptian comedian, writer, producer, physician, media critic, and television host, whose cutting political commentary drew the ire of authoritarian leaders and forced his immigration to the US.

Nothing says autumn like a trip to the Cider Mill! Come with Honors to Erwin's Family Farm on Sunday October 8th! We will be taking a blue bus from South Quad, going through a corn maze, and, of course, eating all the cider and donuts. Meet at the CC at 10:45 am! We'll be back to South Quad by 2:30 pm.

Kip Thorne is one of the world's top authorities on General Relativity. Recently, he has switched to pursuing a career at the intersection of art and science. To that end, he helped write, and was the Executive Producer for "Interstellar." Join us to see him speak at Rackham Auditorium. We will meet at the CC on September 13 at 3:45 to walk over.

Join your HRAs, Katelyn and Kiran, and the actors of the Tempest, as we explore the Arb and Shakespeare simultaneously. The play is free with your student ID, so make sure to bring your Mcard, as well as blankets or chairs to sit on during the scenes! We will be leaving together from the South Quad Community Center at 5:00 pm on Sunday, September 3rd. Running time is about 2 hours.
