AURORA is currently developed for the Microsoft HoloLens 2 augmented reality headset
Hannah's current work focuses on multiple areas of research and engineering to support the evaluation and mitigation of sensorimotor performance in astronauts. She enables the development and validation of monitoring tools such as markerless motion capture, the creation of head-trunk coordination and human perceptual performance metrics for assessing sensorimotor decrement, and the design of operational assessments.
Hannah's previous work focused on developing and validating a standalone Augmented Reality (AR) application to assess astronauts' neurovestibular and sensorimotor performance for the evaluation of extravehicular activity readiness and physiological adaptation to different gravity environments.
The Augmented Reality Operations Readiness Assessment, otherwise known as AURORA, features assessment tools for static, dynamic, and operational balance as well as hand-eye coordination.
