Hannah Weiss

Engineer.  Explorer.  Lifelong Learner.

Hannah is a Ph.D. candidate in the Department of Industrial and Operations Engineering at the University of Michigan. Drawing on her operational expertise and experience within the Biomedical Research and Environmental Science Division at NASA's Johnson Space Center,  her primary ambition is to quantify human performance and machine fluency in operationally relevant human spaceflight settings and further inform engineering design to support astronaut crew safety and mission success. Her current research investigates advancing the use of wearables and extended reality (XR) to transform astronaut workflow in various intravehicular/extravehicular applications for current and future deep-space missions.
