You may work alone but are strongly encouraged to form multi-disciplinary teams of up to four (4). If you have registered for the competition kick-off, you will have access to contact information for your peers and can reach out to others to form a team. Likewise, if you are seeking an additional member of your team, we advise you to reach out to those who have already registered. Once you have confirmed that you have a team formed, register your team here.
Your Google Site submissions are due on Wednesday, November 6th at 11:59PM. Our judges will review your digital submissions, choosing five finalists. Finalists will be announced by Friday, November 22nd. At least one representative from each finalist team will be required to present during our awards ceremony on Wednesday December 4th. You do not need to have your presentation ready on November 6th, just your Google Site. You will only be required to prepare a presentation if your team is selected as a finalist. Your presentations will be evaluated by the judges, and when combined with your scores from the first round of judging, first, second, third, fourth and fifth place winners will be announced for the competition. This year we are happy to announce the following prize package. All teams invited to the finals will receive a prize.
1st Prize: $10,000 scholarship to be split among your team.
2nd Prize: $7,000 scholarship to be split among your team.
3rd Prize: $6,000 scholarship to be split among your team.
4th Prize: $4,500 scholarship to be split among your team.
5th Prize: $2,500 scholarship to be split among your team.
*The award payment(s) must be paid directly to the student team member(s) through Financial Aid channels as a refund. If you have direct deposit set up for refunds, you will receive the funds that way. Otherwise, a check will be sent to the Current Address that you have set up in Wolverine Access. These funds will show up as a resource on the account(s) of the student(s) receiving them. Please check in with the Office of Financial Aid to get guidance on potential impacts.
