Once you have confirmed your team, you may begin seeking out advising appointments. Below you will find a list of available advisors. Once you have submitted your team registration, you will be contacted and given an advisor. We ask that at this point you arrange a meeting directly with the advisor. It will be your responsibility to maintain contact and professionalism with your advisor - remember to represent U of M well!
You are welcome to seek out additional advisors who may be in your network. In any case, be sure to enter your advising conversation prepared to discuss specific areas of need in order to make the most of your appointment. Be specific, and try to find solutions first before seeking advice. The advisors are there to guide you, they are not in place to do the work for you.
Job Title: Senior Vice President, Acquisitions & Capital Markets
Company: Vornado Realty Trust
Nareit is the primary source to identify a publicly traded REIT (not private REIT) for your case study. They have a list of all publicly traded REITs.
A general google search of major, top public REITs in various real estate sectors (office, retail, industrial, multi family, data centers, debt, etc.) will also identify the top/largest REITs. The key is identifying one that has challenges/opportunities/problems and finding solutions to these issues. Their web site and annual report are good places to start.
You are of course welcome to look at articles from REIT Analyst and other sources who have provided commentary about your chosen REIT.
Forming Teams: Complete this form if you are looking for teammates to join your team or are looking to join an existing team.
