We're excited to invite you to a journal discussion lunch on Thursday April 10th 12:30-1:30PM EST at Med Sci II 3733. We'll be discussing the article, titled Effects of politicization on the practice of science, which we'll use as a jumping off point to discuss the current political climate, its impact on our work as scientists, and what a path forward might look like.
This is a great opportunity to broaden your perspective on the politicization of science and to touch base with folks in your cohort. We're excited to share that we will be holding a book club this semester! The book will be Kashmir Hill's Your Face Belongs to Us. This will be a great chance to learn about the ways that AI is compromising privacy and an excellent space for discussing how policy can help. Kashmir Hill will also be visiting campus and giving a talk on October 7th in the Annenberg Auditorium at 4:15PM, which will be a great space for further discussion. We'll be meeting to discuss the book October 4th in Weill Hall 5240 11:30-12:30 at a catered lunch.
