The laptops require everyone who will be using them to log into the laptop while connected to the campus network. Because of this, the equipment must be picked up by the person using it.
Most laptops in the collection are Macbook Air 2020 M1 models. Specs listed on their website

Warning: All files on the laptop will be deleted when returned.
Users are unable to download software directly onto these devices. Please check the Applications folder for the software you’re looking for and download it from there if available. Users can request software not in the Applications folder to be added to the device, but we may not be able to install certain titles. We are unable to install outside VPNs for security reasons
