Starspot crossing

This animation shows the effect of a star spot on a transit measurement. The left side shows the planet crossing in front of the star (showing the stellar limb darkening), while the right side shows the measured stellar flux as a function of time (normalized to the out-of-transit flux). A small bump appears within the transit dip, at the time when the planet occults the starspot.
