Lyrics put to Music

The unusual wording of this page’s title is intentional. While I’m not a musician, I have great respect for anyone who can create music. I enjoy writing—especially lyrics where I can tell a brief story or express some thoughts. On their own, lyrics may be interesting, but they remain just words on a page until music breathes life into them. For those of us who aren’t musically inclined, like myself, A.I. can give lyrics life.

For all the songs featured here, I’ve written the lyrics and used Suno AI to create the accompanying music. Suno allows me to select a musical style and describe my vision for the sound, including instruments and vocals, but the actual music is generated by Suno—I simply choose my favorite version from dozens of attempts to best capture what I’m envisioning and what I might want to hear on my stereo. Be warned—usually my tastes lean toward progressive, classic, or soft rock sounds. My Suno virtual band name is Charles Corey, which is a combination of names from some of my favorite speculative fiction writers. Let me know what you think.
