The Cybersecurity Center for Education, Research, and Outreach is an interdisciplinary center at the University of Michigan–Dearborn dedicated to advancing cybersecurity through research, education, and engagement.
CCERO creates a common intellectual and organizational home for faculty, students, laboratories, industry partners, and community stakeholders working on cybersecurity and closely related challenges.
To advance cybersecurity research and innovation, provide transformative experiential education, and create meaningful partnerships that strengthen the security and resilience of society.
CCERO aspires to become a leading regional hub where interdisciplinary cybersecurity research, hands-on education, workforce development, and community and industry engagement reinforce one another.
The Center will serve as a catalyst for collaborative research, externally funded projects, student and faculty innovation, and partnerships that translate university expertise into real-world impact.
Build interdisciplinary teams capable of addressing consequential cybersecurity problems and competing for significant federal and industry-sponsored research.
Create an experiential cybersecurity learning ecosystem that connects courses with laboratories, competitions, student organizations, certificates, and professional education.
Make CCERO a bridge connecting UM–Dearborn with industry, government, K–12 schools, and communities.
