For more than 20 years, BrainsRule! has cultivated curiosity in tomorrow’s neuroscientists through outreach events in the greater Ann Arbor area. Our keystone event each spring invites 200 to 300 middle school students to the University of Michigan’s campus for a “reverse science fair” - in which hands-on activities are used to teach students about the brain. Throughout the year, we partner with on-campus organizations and Ann Arbor schools for smaller events educating students on neuroscience careers and research. BrainsRule! is run by Neuroscience Graduate Students, providing them with opportunities for leadership and outreach, and is entirely supported by grants and donations.
To date, we have served more than 1,300 students from southeastern Michigan. If you want to get involved, visit the Contact Us page or email us at brainsrule-exec@umich.edu.
