Dianna Cody

Dianna Cody is currently the Deputy Chair of the Imaging Physics Department at MD Anderson Cancer Center, and serves as the Clinical Operations Director for her department. She is widely considered a leader in the field of CT (Computed Tomography) physics. She has been asked to chair or co-chair a number of high-visibility CT related professional activities. She has also been an active member of many other AAPM (American Association of Physicists in Medicine) committees and Task Groups. She was recognized as a Fellow of the AAPM in 2008, she received the Alumni Merit Award from the University of Michigan Biomedical Engineering Department in 2015, the Distinguished Alumni Award from the Michigan State University Mechanical Engineering Department in 2016, and was granted the designation of Fellow of the American College of Radiology in 2017.

Dr. Cody’s research and publication activities center on the issue of CT radiation dose, which continues to receive widespread national attention. She is also active in various educational programs, and is a sought after speaker nationally and internationally.

Dr. Cody enjoys travelling, participating in outdoor physical activities (hiking, camping, skiing, walking) and target shooting.
