Submission Instructions

Abstracts are due February 24th, 2025 by 11:59 PM EST.
All EHS doctoral candidates 2nd year and up are expected to present during the poster session.
Abstracts may be uploaded using the abstract submission form below.
Abstract booklets will be available for download as a PDF.
In the event an abstract needs to be withdrawn, please send an e-mail to Edith Mercado (emercado@umich.edu)

Abstract Submission

Eligibility

All EHS doctoral candidates 2nd year and up are expected to participate in the student poster competition. All other EHS students are highly encouraged to participate. Abstract submissions are welcomed from trainees in epidemiology, toxicology, biomedical research, and other related fields.

Format

Poster sessions will take place in person in the Paul B. Cornely Room in SPH 1. We will provide the necessary materials to mount your poster and will send additional details to presenters on poster size dimensions. Students will present their posters to their colleagues and postdoctoral judges.

Prizes

Three posters will be awarded cash prizes and presented with certificates of achievement. Notification of awards will go out the week after the symposium using the email addresses provided at the time of submission.

Guidelines for Authorship

The symposium committee may request that multiple abstracts from a single study be merged into a single presentation.
The symposium committee reserves the right to modify abstracts as deemed necessary.
The first author is responsible for presenting their work during the poster session.

Abstract Content Guidelines

Abstract title, authors, and author affiliations should be included in the submission form.
All abstracts must include a concise description of results.
Define all acronyms.
