Accessibility

Hosts using Zoom are required to enable live captions. Hosts and participants should refer to these instructions about using closed captioning and live transcription. Some events may be using Microsoft Teams in which case you will need to follow these instructions to use live captions in Microsoft Teams.

Security

  • The Terrapin Tech Expo is designed to showcase the Division of Information Technology vendors and services offered to students, faculty, and staff in virtual booths. We reserve the right to remove any participant from a session if they are making another participant uncomfortable or making inappropriate comments. Tech Expo virtual experiences may be recorded. To Remove a participant, follow these steps:

    • Select Manage Participants in the controls to show the participants.

    • Hover over the participant and select More.

    • Select Remove.

  • Participants may not be admitted to a session if they are not logged in with a UMD authenticated account.

    • Participants will have the label External next to their name if they are not using a UMD Zoom account. This label is displayed in one-on-one chat and the user's profile details.
