Duration: 8 weeks
Stipend: $6,000
Travel: $600 for traveling to/from WSSU
Accommodation: SQEIP will offer housing on WSSU's campus for the duration of the program
Training: SQEIP offers seminar series, short lectures on QISE, and professional development workshops throughout the summer.
Fun: You will have 8 weeks exploring the best of the Winston-Salem metropolitan area :)
Travel Grants: up to $600 for presenting your work at regional or national conferences (e.g., APS, MRS, IEEE)
SQEIP is open to U.S. citizens and permanent residents
Applicants should be enrolled in an undergraduate college or university, with anticipated graduation of December 2026 or later
Preferred majors: physics, chemistry, materials science & engineering, electrical engineering, chemical engineering. Applicants from other fields are encouraged to contact the SQEIP team before applying.
A minimum GPA of 3.2 out of 4.0.
