SAS Lab is a part of the Department of Mechanical Engineering (ME), and its members are affiliated with ME, the Maryland Robotics Centre (MRC), and the Institute of Systems Research (ISR) at the University of Maryland College Park. We broadly focus on many control-theoretic formulations for robot systems and optimization frameworks, leaning into machine learning to strengthen them. We work with various robots, including underwater, ground, and manipulator robots and aerial and soft robots.
