This data guide serves as a resource for LHIC leadership and members, both county staff and community, to obtain data and information that can be helpful in completing needs assessments, identifying specific populations with health needs, planning activities and programs, and monitoring changes in health throughout the community.
In this guide, we describe several data sources that provide customized local information, as well as the most commonly used data sources Maryland county health departments and LHICs report using for their community health assessments.
This slide deck provides a background of LHICs and can be shared during LHIC meetings, new member orientations, and community health training sessions.
