About Me

Biography & Personal Statement

Lucia Brino is a sophomore from Towson, MD, studying business undecided at the University of Maryland. In her free time, she enjoys spending time outside, going to concerts, reading, and hanging out with friends. Her art interests include painting, graphic design, and film. She has experience with stop motion film and acrylic paints. At her time here so far in Maryland, she she has explored different specialities in the  business field and hopes to continue to develop her communication and leadership skills and eventually become an entrepreneur, using her creativity as a tool to guide her to success.

 As a College Park Arts Scholar, Lucia intends to continue experimenting with various art forms and learn how art impacts the community around her. She enjoyed her time last year, learning from other guest artists and from field trips offered by the program. She is excited to implement the concepts she learned such as challenging yourself with unfamiliar art forms to address a social issue through her capstone project.
