Are you interested in learning about study abroad and other international opportunities?

Then this class is for you!

Open to incoming first-semester Letters & Sciences freshmen with substantial experience living in the United States, this course will connect you with international students and provide opportunities for cross-cultural exchange and learning.

You will spend the semester building global/intercultural fluency, learning about education abroad, connecting with students from other cultures, and understanding individuals’ differences through in-class and co-curricular engagement.

This class is designed to assist you in your successful transition to the UMD and serve as an extended orientation to campus living and learning. In addition to an intercultural focus, this course/class includes lessons on diversity and inclusion, adapting to college life, academic planning (including limited enrollment programs), and student success resources that all UNIV100 sections teach.
