You will spend the semester learning about adjusting to American academic life, learning about the values of an American university, connecting with students from other cultures, and understanding individuals’ differences through in-class and co-curricular engagement.
This class is designed to assist you in your successful transition to the UMD and serve as an extended orientation to campus living and learning. In addition to an intercultural focus, this course/class includes lessons on diversity and inclusion, adapting to college life, academic planning (including limited enrollment programs), and student success resources that all UNIV100 sections teach.
