I completely understand that sometimes, life just happens, and there are a lot of things happening right now beyond all of our control. Inevitably there are things that are going on in your life outside of this course that may affect your work inside of it. If this is the case, you should let me know as soon as possible. If you communicate with me, then we can work together to ensure that you are able to get the most out of the course, and we can work together to ensure that you stay on track with course assignments and requirements.
It is assumed that all students are familiar with and adhere to the code of academic integrity. See

Turnitin: For this course, some of your assignments will be collected via Turnitin on our course ELMS page. I have chosen to use this tool because it can help you improve your scholarly writing and help me verify the integrity of student work. For information about Turnitin, how it works, and the feedback reports you may have access to, visit Turnitin Originality Checker for Students
AI: In this course, my expectation is that you will not use any artificial intelligence (AI)-powered programs such as ChatGPT or DALL-E to help you with your assignments. Any use of AI-generated work to outline, write, create, or edit your assignments will be considered an academic integrity violation. My reasoning for this is that these programs may provide inaccurate or biased information, but more importantly, they do not serve your development as a student. In this course you will learn valuable skills from outlining, generating, and editing your own work. If you have any questions about this policy or are not sure if a resource you have found will violate this policy, please ask.
Please alert me if any due dates or course meetings conflict with a religious holiday within the first two weeks of class.
In order to receive academic accommodations you will need to provide a letter from ADS. Please let me know if you need assistance securing this letter.
