My creative process was rooted in my time management, which is, unfortunately, very poor. For me to be successful, I need to dedicate large blocks of time to my work. This was especially important because I was learning a new program for this project; I needed a lot of time to fool around and become more comfortable with Illustrator.
Issues arise with this process because I am a big procrastinator, so I often squander away productive working time. Through practicum, I learned and utilized two time management strategies. Through the Pomodoro technique, I looked forward to breaks and had chunks of time to actualize my working speed. With time blocking, I avoided procrastination through my obligation to follow my Google Calendar.
This process and these skills have given me so much insight into project management and how I can push myself academically in the future. I do see myself utilizing these strategies for the rest of my life.
