Quisling is a 6 short story collection that examines the fragmented state of politics in the United States, focused on a coalition of the people that make up the current Republican coalition. Each story takes a specific idea, anchored by the groups or ideas of the coalition, and builds a metaphor to deconstruct it through historical references and unnamed characters to create settings of cultural ambiguity. In essence, the collection is based around the term “social cannibalism”, which is defined as actions taken by groups of people that destroy themselves in an attempt to gain social power in society.
