The Limeñan Connection - Conexión Limeña
Music Instrumental Mixtape
This overall project is a 16-track beat-tape, made up of hip-hop beats that primarily utilize Latino records and sounds as its main focal point and sound. Tracks vary in length, influence, and the emotions they attempt to showcase. Each track explores the idea of being Latino in the United States, whether it's through a repeated soundbite, a BPM that's fast or slow, or the very title that the track is named. The album art is a direct parody of Willie Colon's album "La Gran Fuga" and used to directly challenge the relationship the United States has with its Latino population. Every part of this album culminates in a confrontation with the United States through hip-hop music and the love of music in general.
