Irony of War, 2026
Digital
This work gathers several moments of war in the history of the Earth, which highlights the ideal purpose/outcome of the war and the unintended and ironic outcome, and lays them out into a series of 4 memes. I will use Photoshop to assemble all the media/assets into 4 cohesive memes and apply digital distortion in order to show the ironic effect of the wars and provide a message to discourage future wars.

Textbook, Sharpie
This work took an old architecture textbook and transformed it into a poem about learning, making sure we all learn from the wars of the past, using blackout poetry. I wanted to make sure that the work pushes the idea of anti-war and highlights that there is no possibility of war without consequences affecting not only both sides of the conflict but also the entire world.

Fabric, Glue, Paint
This work is a quilt square that takes a heavy anti-war stance and highlights that the wars are dirty and bloody, just like the work. The piece has a distressed feel to it in order to emphasize the chaotic nature of war. I hope that when people view this work, they realize that all wars end up bloody one way or another.
