This semester was filled with a fun and relaxing respite. I made new friends and connected to many more people in the arts scholars. My new dorm and new roommate are fun to be in (much better than Bel-air Hall.) I was able to make new friends on my floor, and we got close enough that we went to a music concert together. Jpegmafia is a GOAT artist. I describe it as respite because I know it's going to get rough in the next semester. With every rough spot I found myself in college so far (and in this semester so far) I always push past it, and so I know ill be able to do the same thing in the next semester.Â
As an artist in the arts scholar, I am able to spend more time in a creative mindset, which is something I wish I could do more often. Observing art, and seeing how different styles and colors affect people is something I am able to see. Especially when I went on the field trip to the Museum of Congress. I don't regret the 4 hours I spent there, and I wish I could go again. It was an experience filled with knowledge and artistic patience. If there's one thing I like about the scholar's program, it's how I get access to experiences that I don't understand the value of at the moment.
I'm excited for the next semester, and I'm excited for this winter break to finally start.
