3:00pm - 4:30pm EST
Agenda
Discussion Topics
The objective of this webinar is to introduce attendees to a critical awareness of scientific history and identify how the work of science and with communities is embedded in systems of colonialism and ongoing forms of injustice. In small groups, attendees will work together to 1) identify specific ways that their research today is connected to historically-rooted systems of injustice and 2) apply critical awareness of these racially oppressive systems to their community-based research in an attempt to disrupt racial inequities within their project.
